Our Team

Alex has over 11 years of experience of working in SEN with children of all ages with a wide range of speech, language, literacy and communication needs. Having gained a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Alex completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy from City University, London. She also has a Level 5 Diploma in Teaching Learners with Specific Learning Difficulties.
These include developmental language disorder, autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, developmental verbal dyspraxia/childhood apraxia of speech, speech sound disorders, disfluency, auditory processing disorder, auditory and working memory difficulties, attention related difficulties (ADD, ADHD) and dyscalculia.

Alex has predominantly worked within nurseries and schools in the UK and Dubai, where she feels she can make the greatest impact by collaborating with the whole team surrounding the child including their families, teachers, LSAs, other therapists and friends, and equipping them with tools to support. Alex always takes a holistic and individual approach to provide targeted, integrated intervention for each child’s unique needs. Alex believes that speech, language, literacy, and communication skills are the cornerstone to happiness, confidence and success in all aspects of life. She is passionate about changing the lives of the children she works with, by enabling them to unlock their potential and believe in themselves, so they can thrive.
